Akshay Kumar, who plays the negative role in ‘2.0’, skipped the film’s mega release on Thursday as the actor had prior commitments. Khiladi Kumar apparently flew out to Bangkok to attend a friend’s wedding as the sci-fic drama ‘2.0’ hit the screens back in India. The film has bagged mixed reviews from the critics and early opening numbers suggest an approximate total of Rs 20 crore. Directed by Shankar, ‘2.0’ features Rajinikanth fighting the battle against Akshay Kumar, who is fighting for birds. The film is made on an estimated budget of Rs 550 crore and has already recovered Rs 370 crore from digital and satellite rights. With a non-holiday release on Thursday, trade opines that ‘2.0’ has registered a decent opening at the box office. The film is expected to venture beyond Rs 500 crore and make a massive profit at the ticket windows.
