Rani Mukerji returned to the silver screen after a gap of four years, playing a teacher in ‘Hichki’. The film fetched Rs 3.30 crore on its first day, but over the weekend the numbers grew positively at the box office. Saturday recorded a remarkable growth with Rs 5.35 crore and Sunday figures were even better, with Rs 6.75 crore. This has made ‘Hichki’ collect a total of Rs 15.40 crore in three days at the box office. Produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Hichki’ was made on a low budget of Rs 20 crore, which the makers have already recovered from the non-theatrical platforms – digital, satellite and sale of music rights. Thus ‘Hichki’ is already making handsome profits at the ticket windows.
