Salman Khan’s much hyped Eid release ‘Tubelight’ has released in 5,550 screens worldwide, out of which 4,350 are in India and 1,200 overseas. The film recorded good advance booking numbers, but not as massive as Salman’s last release, ‘Sultan’. ‘Tubelight’ received average reviews but since it is Bhai’s film, and going by his massive fan following, prediction is that ‘Tubelight’ may cross Rs 100 crore in its four-day weekend, which includes Eid on Monday.

Early trends suggest that Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ will easily cross the Rs 300 crore mark at the domestic Box Office, despite getting only average reviews by many famous critics. The film enjoys a good two weeks run at the ticket windows as there is no other major release till July 7. Hence, reviews aside, with a positive word of mouth, ‘Tubelight’ may fetch some big monies for Salman Khan Films.

Salman Khan’s last two Eid releases , ‘Sultan’ (2016) and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015) fetched a lifetime collection beyond Rs 500 crore, however both the films received a lot of love from the critics as well. But Kabir Khan-directed ‘Tubelight’ is not totally favoured by the critics. Interestingly, the makers of ‘Tubelight’ are eyeing a release in in China, which is a huge market for Hindi films, and will add considerably to the Salman Khan’s movie’s Box Office collection if the reviews there are good.
