Anushka Sharma’s second production venture, ‘Phillauri’, recorded a slow start at the Box Office, as it hit the screens last Friday. ‘Phillauri’ collected Rs 3.75 crore at the Box Office on its first day, with a promising growth over the weekend – Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.50 crore on Sunday. Going by the numbers of the first weekend, trade buzz suggests that ‘Phillauri’ may not experience a long run at the ticket windows. Diljit Dosanjh’s presence in the film too managed to pull in very little crowds up North, where he enjoys a huge fan following. Having said that, ‘Phillauri’ managed to stand strong against the competition from ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, as the Anushka Sharma starrer collected Rs 14 crore in the first weekend. Made on a budget of Rs 21 crore, ‘Phillauri’ has already bagged a satellite deal of Rs 12 crore and is on its way to emerge as a moderate profitable venture for the makers.
