A couple of months ago, Zoya Akhtar was reported to have signed up celebrity Ranveer Singh for her next Bollywood film titled ‘Gully Boy’. Reports stated that Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan would mark her debut with this project, but it seems like Alia Bhatt has bagged ‘Gully Boy’. Trade buzz suggests that the fresh ‘jodi’ of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will debut in the movie, which will be inspired from a real life story about the Mumbai-based rappers. Ranveer and Alia’s chemistry is already evident in commercials for a travel website which they endorse and now Zoya’s movie will take the association ahead. Ranveer is currently in an intense mode for Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Padmavati’, while Alia will wrap up two projects – ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Dragon’ with Ranbir Kapoor. Alia and Ranveer may begin work on ‘Gully Boy’ by the end of this year.
