‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ has emerged as the sleeper hit of the year, collecting Rs 26.27 crore after its release on August 18 at the Box Office. With no big names to boast of, this Bollywood film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao. It is made at an estimated budget of Rs 20 crore. While ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is giving its makers a sweet run, ‘A Gentleman’, on the other hand, has faced a disastrous weekend at the Box Office. Sidharth Malhotra-Jacqueline Fernandez’s heist drama has failed to click with the audiences, collecting merely Rs 18.47 core. The film will have to maintain a consistent performance at the ticket windows to recover its budget, which is reportedly over Rs 50 crore. ‘A Gentleman’ released on August 25.
