Aamir Khan is one of those few celebs and cinema actors in Bollywood who demands a profit share in films as his fees. For his upcoming Yash Raj Films-produced movie ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, Aamir Khan has demanded a lion’s share of 70 percent in the film’s profits. “Aamir will pocket almost 70 percent of the profits while Aditya Chopra will keep the remaining percentage. The fact is, after ‘Dangal’ made Rs 1,000 crore, now few people question Aamir on his deals. If ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ makes that amount of money, Aditya will get almost Rs 300 crore, which is much more than any of his own home productions,” a trade insider revealed to DNA. Yash Raj Films has roped in high profile celebs and cinema stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, which is touted as a big budget action-adventure flick.

Despite parting with a massive share in profits, as high as 70 percent, Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ could well be that face saver project for Yash Raj Films. Aditya Chopra’s production house has been going through a dull phase at the Box Office. Its last two releases, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and ‘Befikre’, tanked at the ticket windows. Yash Raj Films currently seems to be banking only on big names. After the success of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is looking promising. Salman, at a later stage, could very well assure yet another blockbuster with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ with the same production house. Interestingly, Salman and Aamir both have their own production houses and could possibly pose a threat to Yash Raj Films, which used to be one of the biggest filmmaking studios in its heyday. Hence, Yash Raj Films seems to have now decided to part with its profits with many celebs and cinema world’s biggies. At least they will ensure a few hits.
