Dev Patel was in the running for the Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his performance in ‘Lion’. But the Indian origin British actor lost out on the Academy Award as Mahershala Ali was announced the winner for ‘Moonlight’.

Bollywood actress and now a global celebrity, Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet at the prestigious 89th Academy Awards. PeeCee kept it classy in ivory white Ralph and Russo gown. Sleek hair, diamond drop earrings and cuff bracelets completed her sharp look. Priyanka Chopra had taken a quick break from her American TV show ‘Quantico’ to appear at the 89th Academy Awards.

A big blunder was made while announcing the winners of the Best Film at the 89th Academy Awards. Presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway called ‘La La Land’ as the winner instead of ‘Moonlight’, which had actually won the Best Film at the Oscar Awards.
