With Priyanka out, will Aishwarya Rai romance Abhishek Bachchan?

Priyanka Chopra made headlines when the actress reportedly walked out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project on famed poet Sahir Ludhianvi. The ‘Baywatch’ actress seems to have made way for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to step in and romance her real life love, Abhishek Bachchan, who will play Sahir Ludhianvi in the biopic. Tentatively titled ‘Gustakhiyan’, Aishwarya Rai is set to play Amrita Pritam in the biopic which will be directed by debutante Jasmeet Reen. If all goes well then the new team will start shooting early in 2018. In the past, Aishwarya and Abhishek romanced each other onscreen in ‘Guru’, which was loosely inspired from the life of Mumbai based businessman Dhirubhai Ambani.
Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai has been one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s favourite actresses and was his choice for an item song in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela’. But Priyanka Chopra replaced her when the former didn’t want to play the said part.
