Kabir Khan was keen to rope in Ranveer Singh for his film on the Indian World Cup victory of 1983 in cricket. And while the latter is yet to give a confirmation, Kabir is already planning to cast him in the captain’s role of Kapil Dev. Salman Khan starrer ‘Tubelight’ kept Kabir Khan busy till date, but the filmmaker is now concentrating on the cast for his cricket project which will be backed by Phantom Films. For now, Ranveer is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ and will also star in Zoya Akhtar’s musical ‘Gully Boys’. While Ranveer Singh has been approached to play Kapil Dev for the film on the cricket World Cup victory by Kabir Khan, the celebrity actor seems to be mulling over the proposal.
