Desi boy Varun Dhawan is riding high on the success of ‘Dishoom’ and when most stars are working in the West, this Bollywood celeb prefers India and the cinema here. “We are Indians. We have our own culture, have our own standard. I don’t think Hollywood should be a benchmark. Obviously, there are so many things that they do better than us, but there are a lot of things that we do better than them as well. So we have our own style, but we should get inspired from their technology and VFX. I don’t think we need to ape them. We have our own story telling methods,” says Varun Dhawan.

Having talked about better things in Hollywood and Bollywood, Varun Dhawan however adds that Hindi celebs and cinema stars should steer clear of blink and miss roles. “If an actor is really big here, then somewhere we have our responsibility to fans here. So they should accept films where one could have an impact and accept the role if meaty. Priyanka and Deepika are really big actors and are doing us proud,” concludes Varun Dhawan.
