Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan mints Rs 64 crore on domestic box office in five days

Despite some of the biggest celebs and cinema world names attached to this Bollywood project, ‘Fan’ is yet to touch the coveted mark of Rs 100 crore at the box office

Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest Bollywood release of 2016, ‘Fan’ opened with high expectations last Friday and made Rs 19.20 crore on its opening day in the domestic circuit. The first weekend for ‘Fan’ ended with approximately Rs 52 crore and the first five days collection is registered at Rs 64.15 crore at the Bollywood box office. According to trade buzz, the collections of ‘Fan’ have dropped majorly and the theatrical business may not be a record breaking one.

‘Fan’ is one of Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest releases, made on a mammoth budget of Rs 105 crore. While this Bollywood film is making less money at the ticket windows, producer Yash Raj Films may have recovered their investment as they have sold the satellite rights of the film to Sony TV. ‘Fan’ is directed by Maneesh Sharma and is enjoying a solo release at the Bollywood box office.
