Shahid Kapoor has left the solace of his luxurious sea-facing apartment in Juhu to stay put at a suburban five-star hotel. After moving out of his palatial home, the actor has checked himself in at Westin Hotel in Goregaon to save time travelling to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ set, which is put up at Film City Studios nearby. “Shahid would spend four hours travelling (from home). He moved into a Goregaon hotel for the previous schedule, given that it is closer to Film City. He would start shooting early in the morning and continue working till the wee hours of the next day. Since he needed to sport two distinct looks for the film, working out was crucial. Shahid will stay there for a few weeks,” a tabloid quoted a source. Ranveer Singh, who plays Alauddin Khilji in the film, was also residing at the hotel to avoid travelling woes. But he purchased a flat in the vicinity a little later. Interestingly, Deepika too has checked in to the same five star. “One day, after an early pack up, Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput and daughter Misha, came to visit him. Along with Ranveer, Deepika and other key cast members of ‘Padmavati’, the trio had a small gathering at the hotel,” added the source.

Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika’s moving out of their respective pads and checking-in the hotel comes as no surprise though. ‘Padmavati’ is yet another big budget magnum opus in the making by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and all the celebs and cinema stars would want to give their best. The historical drama features Deepika Padukone in the titular role while Shahid Kapoor plays her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. Bhansali is aiming to release ‘Padmavati’ on November 17, during Diwali.
