Sushant Singh Rajput seems to have mastered the art of doing biopics. After ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, here comes one more, on Paralympian Murlikant Petkar. The yet untitled Bollywood film is based on the Gold winner, master of sports and ex-Indian Army jawan Murlikant Petkar, who won many medals in various sports events at national and international levels. ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ seems to have given much hopes to Sushant, and hence the Bollywood actor has accepted the challenge to play yet another real life hero. Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘Dhoni’ sent the cash registers ringing at the Box Office, with crossing Rs 100 crore mark very easily. This seems to have catapulted his confidence to a new high, and hence Sushant wants to experiment more with biopics, this time on Murlikant Petkar.

Who is Murlikant Petkar?
Murlikant Petkar was a Paralympics champion, who won India’s first ever individual Gold in freestyle swimming event in the year 1972. Hailing from the Indian Army, Murlikant Petkar fought and was wounded in the 1965 war against Pakistan. This injury compelled him to retire prematurely from the Indian Army. Murlikant Petkar later took to various sports events like javelin, table tennis and others apart from swimming, and excelled at all of them. Also a boxer, Petkar participated in Paralympics and Commonwealth Games in various categories.
