Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Neerja’ is not just a story of the ill-fated 1986 hijack, but the film also explores a lot of family values. Apparently, director Ram Madhvani has given a lot of importance to the relationship of mother-daughter in ‘Neerja’. Shabana Azmi, who plays Sonam’s mother in the film, reveals, “I was lucky to have got the opportunity to meet Rama Bhanot, whose character I am playing. The Bhanot family trusted us and we hope that everyone likes the film. There is a very strong family story in this film, that of about mother and daughter. Apart from the thrill in the hijack part of the film, the emotional content is very strong in ‘Neerja’.”

I have a T-shirt with ‘I can see your lips moving, but all I hear is blah blah blah’ pintred on it.If Sonam Kapoor ever honoured me with her company,I have a feeling I’d be wearing it a lot. All this reminds me of Saki’s character Reginald, who couldn’t arrive at eighteen till his mother remained at thirty nine. And so he was 17 for three birthdays,to be mathematically exact.
