Bollywood seems to be divided over the stand of allowing Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan to work in the country. Some celebs say that Pakistani artistes should not be banned in Bollywood. Nana Patekar talks otherwise. “First comes the country and then come Pakistani actors. We artistes are the minuscule in front of the country. I was in the army for two-and-a-half years. I know that the ‘jawans’ (soldiers) are our real heroes,” says a patriotic Nana Patekar.

Recently, cinema star Salman Khan had come out in support of the Pakistani artistes. Salman had stated that it is the Indian government who gives them the visas to work in the country and that they are not terrorists. Reacting to the same, Nana Patekar adds, “Both the things that Salman said are true. But when there is a war then we should be different and when there is no war, there will be some political decision. We (artistes) are very small, ordinary and fake people. So whatever we say, don’t concentrate much on that. You know who I am talking about, those who keep blabbering. Don’t give them more importance than they deserve.”
