Professional rivalry is rumoured to be the reason for Deepika Padukone refusing to perform with Priyanka Chopra at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). When Priyanka was asked about the controversy, she said, “I have no idea, you will have to ask the organisers of IIFA. From what I know, it was supposed to happen but I don’t know why it didn’t. So I ended up doing it in my act.” The makers of IIFA had planned that Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone would perform together on their popular track ‘Pinga’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’. But the idea fell through as the latter allegedly refused to share the stage with PeeCee. IIFA went on from 24th to 26th June this year.
