Celebrity Ekta Kapoor is known for some of her bold cinema. After ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’, the producer came on board to distribute and present controversial film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’. The latest Bollywood film talks about four women and explores women’s sexual desires. At the film’s trailer launch, Ekta Kapoor shared a strong opinion on sexual freedom, “We are not able to discriminate between sexual intentions and sex as a crime. Sexual crime is a problem, sex if consensual is not a problem. God has given us a body and we should be given the freedom as long as we deal with everything in a consensual manner. Morality should be our personal issue, it cannot be forced on us. It is time we decide to discuss sex like adults.”

‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ was denied certification by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), aka Censor Board, citing that the film featured contagious sexual scenes, abusive words and audio pornography. However, Film Certification Appellate Tribunal asked the film to be granted an ‘A’ certificate and ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ will finally hit the screens on July 21 under Ekta Kapoor’s banner.
