As his comeback film after cancer (neuroendocrine tumour) treatment, Irrfan Khan might do a biopic on Sardar Udham Singh, which will be directed by Shoojit Sircar
Irrfan Khan is currently recuperating from cancer, neuroendocrine tumour, and buzz suggests that the actor will soon be back on the job. Irrfan had put all his projects on hold as he battled the life threatening illness at a hospital in London. However, the actor is planning to return to Bollywood with a biopic, with his ‘Piku’ director Shoojit Sircar. After his impressive performance in sports biopic ‘Pan Singh Tomar’, Irrfan is set to feature in the life story of Sardar Udham Singh. Sardar Udham Singh was an India revolutionary and freedom fighter who died at the young age of 40 after killing former Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab province, Michael O’ Dwyer in 1940, during India’s independence movement. Trade buzz suggests that Irrfan will face the camera for the biopic in the first half of 2019, marking it as his comeback film.
