Here’s why Ranveer Singh’s enjoying shooting with Rohit Shetty

Ranveer Singh feels that Rohit Shetty is the king of ‘masala’ film, exactly the kind he is born to do, while shooting for ‘Simmba’

Ranveer Singh is looking forward to play the fun cop in ‘Simmba’, collaborating with Rohit Shetty for a feature film for the first time. Echoing his excitement for the film Ranveer says, “I am very excited to work with Rohit sir, he is the king of ‘masala’ films, which I love. This is something I was born to do.” Ranveer is currently in happy space with the success of ‘Padmaavat’ and interesting line-up of films. “I am feeling very blessed as I have got the opportunity to work with the best of filmmakers in the business, from Mr Bhansali to Zoya Akhtar, Rohit Shetty and Kabir Khan. It is a very rich time for me as a creative person, getting to do loads of different things and keeping myself stimulated and challenged. I am very excited about my upcoming slate of films,” he says. Ranveer will soon wrap up ‘Gully Boy’ and then shoot for ‘Simmba’ after which he will move on to do sports drama ‘83’.
