The 11th season of ‘Bigg Boss’ is finally here to add a dash of entertainment. With the common man ruling the roost last season, the current edition will also see an eclectic mix of celebrities and commoners battling hard to survive inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house for a period of 100 plus days.
The mega launch saw the real ‘Judwaa’, Salman Khan, and junior ‘Judwaa’, Varun Dhawan share screen space while welcoming and introducing the fresh inmates of the season. The duo danced to the beats of the famous song ‘Tan Tana Tan’ even as Jacqueline Fernandes and Taapsee Pannu joined the bandwagon! Amidst dance, drama, some action and many emotions – the world of the Gharwale and Padosis came alive for the newest season of ‘Bigg Boss’.
Here’s a little sneak peek into the lives of the contestants:
- The first to enter is Television’s favorite actor Hiten Tejwani who is accompanied by wife Gauri Pradhan for a special performance on the song ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’.
- India’s favorite bahu, Hina Khan sings a melodious version of ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ while Salman Khan consoles her mother who is upset about this 3 month departure.
- Ruling the hearts of the youth – the much loved Benafsha Soonawala and Priyank Sharma from ‘MTV Roadies’ and ‘Splitsvilla’ give an electrifying performance on Badshah’s hit number ‘Mercy’.
- Sapna Choudhary, a well-known Haryanvi singer, dancer and Youtube sensation joins the inmates with her thumkas!
- Double PhD holder and occult specialist Shivani Durgah enjoys a special dussehra paan before stepping into her new home.
- Jyoti Kumari, daughter of a peon from the small town of Masaudi, Bihar enters the house with the dream of winning big!
- Bandagi Kalra, self-proclaimed beauty-with-brains, is an engineer by education and keeps getting modelling offers.
- Puneesh Sharma is the owner of Playboy Club in Gurugram. He wants to rule the world someday and feels that ‘Bigg Boss’ is the first step in that direction
- Akash Dadlani, a rapper from Mumbai claims that Mother-Mary visited him in his dreams and imparted the gift of music.
- Arshi Khan claims to be a famous personality in Pakistan and is rumoured to have previously dated cricketer Shahid Afridi.
- Probably the most interesting contestant till date, Zubair Khan hails from Mumbai’s notorious underworld family and is on the show in a bid to win his children back from his estranged wife
- Country’s most famous ‘Bhabhi’, Shilpa Shinde bedazzles everyone with her ‘jhatkas and matkas’; unaware that Producer Vikas Gupta with whom she has had a public spat is next to enter the house. From the moment they come face to face, Vikas and Shilpa have an altercation that leads Vikas to say that he wouldn’t have been part of ‘Bigg Boss’ this year if he knew she was on it!
With this – the world of Bigg Boss has just come alive.
