Amitabh Bachchan will play mentor to Kangana Ranaut in the upcoming R Balki film, a biopic based on Arunima Sinha, the first Indian amputee to scale Mount Everest
Kangana Ranaut may well be the favourite child of controversy, but she is also the most sought after celeb and cinema star in the Hindi entertainment industry. The actress has been signed by R Balki for his next project which will also feature his lucky charm Amitabh Bachchan. Kangana will play an amputee in the film and Big B being her mentor. A source reveals, “Kangana had already been roped in for the Arunima Sinha (the first Indian amputee to scale Mount Everest) biopic. But the film showed no signs of kick-starting. So when Balki offered her this project, she was keen to come onboard. The film revolves around a woman who is left handicapped after a freak accident, and eventually reclaims her life.”
Kangana Ranaut will undergo extensive training for her differently-abled character in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Arunima Sinha biopic, to be directed by R Balki. “Kangana will require a two-month long prep to adapt to the body language of a physically challenged person. The actors are expected to sign the contracts next week and an official announcement will be made later this month,” adds the source. After the release of ‘PadMan’ next week, R Balki will begin with the pre-production work on this yet untitled project. Balki plans to begin shoot by the end of this year, after Kangana wraps up ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and Bachchan completes ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ and ‘102 Not Out’.
