Aamir Khan has not seen Bahubali 2 yet, avoids comparisons with Dangal!

While Aamir Khan is yet to see ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’, he is content with the worldwide Box Office collection of ‘Dangal’, says the two films should not be compared

‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is busy making huge monies, with its worldwide collection of all languages reaching nearly Rs 1,577 crore in more than three weeks of its release. But Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ too is close on the heels in this competition. While ‘Dangal’ released in December 2016, it recently hit the screens in China and received huge popularity there. ‘Dangal’ marked a total collection of more than Rs 778 crore in China, states trade buzz. With a sudden surge in numbers, ‘Dangal’ now stands at an impressive collection of Rs 1,546 crore at the worldwide Box Office.

Speaking about the massive collection that ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘Dangal’ are making at the international level, Aamir Khan says, “I am very happy that everyone is enjoying ‘Dangal’ in China and worldwide. I don’t think two films should be compared. ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is a very successful film. I have not seen it yet but everyone has only praises for the film. My best wishes to Rajamouliji (director SS Rajamouli) and his team. Both are good films in their own right. I am very proud of ‘Baahubali’, which is earning a name internationally. As an Indian fan I appreciate that ‘Dangal’ and ‘Bahubali 2’ are doing so well.”

While ‘Dangal’ and ‘Bahubali 2’ are busy earning accolades, Aamir Khan has already shifted attention to his next major project. The actor is due to begin his action adventure, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, next month, for which he has been growing a moustache and has also stared sporting a nose pin. Produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and boasts of a powerful cast, with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead.
