Deepika Padukone is getting ready to play Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmavati’. The Bollywood actress is reading historical literature to know more about the Rajput Gharana as part of her preparations
Deepika Padukone is working hard to perfect her performance for task master Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, ‘Padmavati’. Deepika plays the role of Rani Padmavati in the film and has been reading a lot of historical books to know about the Rajputana era as the preparation for the movie. The actress apparently indulges herself into the literature during her spare time, increasing her knowledge on the lifestyle and social existence of the Rajput Gharana. Deepika Padukone is not only making glamorous appearances at various events right now, but has also been practicing the Ghoomar dance for a mega song in ‘Padmavati’ as part of her preps. Celebs & Cinema had earlier informed that it is with this song that Sanjay Leela Bhansali may begin shooting the period drama. ‘Padmavati’ also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor apart from Deepika Padukone, and is set to release in November next year.
