Sanjay Leela Bhansali has faced several obstacles with the making of ‘Padmavati’, which seems to have led to the film getting postponed, straight to the next year. First off, the sets of ‘Padmavati’ were vandalised badly when miscreants damaged the property and allegedly slapped the celebrated filmmaker as well in Rajasthan. Next on, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shooting in Kolhapur, more damage was caused to costumes and jewellery of the period film, said a few reports coming out of the stable. Industry buzz now suggests that as a result of these many obstacles, the schedule of ‘Padmavati’ has been affected. The makers don’t want to rush through the remaining shoot and hence the release date of ‘Padmavati’ could be postponed to 2018. The scheduled date of the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor-starrer so far was November 2017. However, an official confirmation on the release date of ‘Padmavati’ for 2018 is still awaited.
