Kiara Advani to romance Shahid Kapoor in Arjun Reddy?

Shahid Kapoor is all set to begin shooting for the Hindi remake of hit Telugu film ‘Arjun Reddy’, but his leading lady, Tara Sutaria, has had to drop the film last minute leaving the makers in lurch. Industry buzz suggests that the makers have now filled in the spot with Kiara Advani. The ‘Lust Stories’ actress will play the female lead, romancing Shahid Kapoor. Kiara is currently occupied with her Telugu film opposite Ram Charan but will soon join the team of ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake. Second-time-father, Shahid had long ago started working on his physique for his aggressive role in the film. This yet untitled Hindi remake will be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who wrote and directed the original Telugu flick. The story of ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake revolves around a medical student and his junior and how love blossoms between the two.

For those who are unaware, Tara had signed a contract with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions that its ‘Student of The Year 2’ will be her debut movie. The film’s release was pushed from November 2018 to May 2019. The makers of ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake would have had to wait till such a long time to shoot and release their film if they were continue with Tara. It would have been practically impossible, and hence they wisely decided to replace Tara with Kiara to feature opposite Shahid Kapoor in the ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake.
