Priyanka Chopra has turned down Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi, tentatively titled ‘Gustakhiyan’, after the news of her being a part of the film surfaced. Reasons are still unknown
Priyanka Chopra has finally decided to bow out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project, a biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi. Tentatively titled ‘Gustakhiyan’, the Bollywood biopic was to explore poet and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam’s real life love story, featuring Priyanka Chopra. However, the latest buzz suggests that the actress has decided not to be a part of the film. The reasons for Priyanka Chopra walking out of the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic are still unknown. Speculations were that Abhishek Bachchan would play the lead in the drama and the shoot would start soon, but it seems like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s wait just got longer as he will now have to start searching for his leading lady yet again.
Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s professional repertoire includes 2015 release ‘Bajirao Mastani’ as well as a special number in SLB’s ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’ in 2013. And while Bollywood continues to woo the celebrity actress, Priyanka is busy shooting for two Hollywood films, ‘A Kid Like Jake’ and ‘Isn’t It Romantic?’
