Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer ‘Dabangg’ clocked in eight years and the lead pair announced that their third film in the action franchise, ‘Dabangg 3’, will hit the screens next year. “Thank you for all the appreciation and love, from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey. See you in ‘Dabangg 3’ next year,” shared Salman Khan. The film is expected to go on the floors early next year, after Salman wraps up his Eid 2019 release ‘Bharat’ and reality show ‘Bigg Boss 12’. After Abhinav Kashyap directed the first part in 2010 and Arbaaz Khan took over the directorial reins for the 2012 sequel ‘Dabangg 2’, Prabhu Dheva has now been roped in to call the shots for the third part, ‘Dabangg 3’.

While Sallu was to begin shooting for ‘Dabangg 3’ from the month of May, he couldn’t finish working on ‘Race 3’, putting the former in jeopardy! The shooting of ‘Dabangg 3’ was hence pushed to September, delaying the film’s release to 2019. It is being said that the team is eyeing to book the Independence Day in 2019 for the release of ‘Dabangg 3’. Salman had expressed his desire that he wanted his younger brother Sohail Khan to direct the flick because his another brother, Arbaaz Khan was not ready to helm ‘Dabangg 3’. “Since Arbaaz doesn’t want to direct ‘Dabangg 3’, I feel Sohail is a better director, because he is more patient. Also with Sohail, you can improvise. But in a similar situation, Arbaaz gets panicked and his blood pressure starts to fluctuate,” Salman had said last year when Prabhu Dheva’s name had just started doing the rounds.

Apart from Sonakshi, Mouni Roy will be seen in ‘Dabangg 3’ when it releases in 2019. In a big break which she has got in Bollywood, Mouni will play the character of Salman Khan’s long lost love in the 15-20 minutes cameo in ‘Dabangg 3’.
