Kangana Ranaut breaks silence on controversial dialogue-writing credit for Simran
Kangana Ranaut clears the air surrounding Apurva Asrani who had claimed that he is the dialogue writer of ‘Simran’ whereas the actress is taking all the credit, spiralling into huge controversy
Kangana Ranaut went all out to clarify the long-pending controversy with writer of ‘Simran’, Apurva Asrani, who had alleged that Kangana took the credit for his work. At the trailer launch of ‘Simran’ Kangana said, “There is a lot of misconception. There are no dues pending to Apurva. We have done exactly what he asked for. He was the one who suggested that I take additional credit for the dialogues. All the documents and contracts are signed that way. Post that, he and I worked on the schedule together at my house.” The actress went on to suggest that these controversial allegations were put on her knowingly and deliberately, which were in bad taste. “After many months, he (Apurva Asrani) decided to write the note when ‘Rangoon’ flopped and many people attacked me. I thought all that was in a bad taste, planned and extremely deliberate. There is nothing we can do in this matter. He is the writer and he has got all the credit he wanted,” added Kangana. The actress returned from the shoot of ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, for the trailer launch of ‘Simran’. Directed by Hansal Mehta, ‘Simran’ will hit the screens on September 15.
