TV comedian Krushna Abhishek has been at the centre of controversy after having allegedly ‘hijacked’ Kapil Sharma’s show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ with his own ‘Comedy Nights Live’. The stand-up comedian reveals that their conflict goes back to the days of ‘Comedy Circus’. Krushna says, “There are several rival shows like ‘Dance India Dance’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, as everyone works for the best TRPs. But ours (Kapil and Krushna’s rivalry) has been since a long time. At the time of ‘Comedy Circus’, when he used to win, I would get angry. And at times he would also get mad at me.”

Krushna Abhishek, who is accused of dirty politics, in his defence quips that he had no intentions of removing Kapil Sharma from the channel. He says “Our tiffs just went on and then a situation arrived when even I came on Colors TV (with ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’), where he was already there. He then eventually left the channel, but I did not go to the makers and tell them to remove Kapil. He took the exit and the channel decided to get me in and carry on with ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ and ‘Comedy Nights Live’. There is no dirty politics.” While Krushna Abhishek stayed on with Colors to do ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ and later ‘Comedy Nights Live’, Kapil Sharma and team moved on to Sony TV with the show titled’ The Kapil Sharma Show’.
