Rohit Shetty made an unofficial announcement of ‘Golmaal 5’ in the song ‘Aankh Marey’ from ‘Simmba’, where ‘Golmaal’ cast Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade gestured number 5 with their palms. Trade buzz suggests that director Rohit Shetty is a long way from making ‘Golmaal 5’ as the story of the fifth film in the ‘Golmaal’ franchise is yet to be written. Hence, developing a script and shooting the Bollywood flick will take a couple of years to say the least. While the fifth instalment of the comedy franchise is very much on the cards, Rohit Shetty is still to work out his future projects, that also includes a sequel in the cop drama ‘Singham’. The filmmaker is currently concentrating on the release of ‘Simmba’, which hits the screens on December 28. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, Rohit Shetty is also planning to make this cop film into a series.

For those who couldn’t tune in to the news or the song earlier, a remixed version of ‘Aankh Marey’ from Rohit’s upcoming film ‘Simmba’ was released recently, featuring a special appearance from the ‘Golmaal’ team. While the four celebs and cinema stars, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade, shook a leg on the remixed version ‘Aankh Marey’ from ‘Simmba’, they dropped a massive hint that ‘Golmaal 5’ was coming soon as all the actors gestured five with their palms. Interestingly, before the run-up to ‘Golmaal 4’, the team was seen flashing four fingers in the promotions in a similar manner. This has made the industry talking, almost in a sure-shot manner, that ‘Golmaal 5’ is very much on the anvil.
