Rumour mills are abuzz with talks of Arjun Kapoor spending huge amounts, to the tune of Rs 1 lakh, of ‘Half Girlfriend’s’ producers’ money on parties. Those in the know in Bollywood say that Arjun Kapoor blew celeb producers Ekta Kapoor, Mohit Suri and Chetan Bhagat’s moolahs on celebrations during the shooting of Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’. While the actor chose to remain silent for a long time, at a recent press conference he finally reacted to the latest Bollywood gossip, worth Rs 1 lakh. “I don’t like to react to ridiculous conversations. When the said outdoor shoot was going on in June, my grandmother was seriously unwell. She passed away when I was on shoot. If I was busy partying with a bill of Rs 1 lakh then I should seriously not get more work. I was travelling from Delhi to Mumbai almost every day. It was my birthday and I did not want to celebrate. But Balaji Motion Pictures wanted to throw a party. So we partied till 1 am and next day at 7 we were on the sets to shoot,” explained Arjun Kapoor.
Celeb and cinema world star Arjun Kapoor further alleged that someone was spreading dirty rumours about him, leaking incorrect information. On the rumoured Rs 1 lakh parties, the ‘Half Girlfriend’ actor stated, “It seems like someone has some personal gain in portraying me as unprofessional. Someone is so upset and jealous that they want to mislead people to think of me like that. If I was not a professional then the film wouldn’t have been completed. Being a producer’s son, I wouldn’t put another producer in jeopardy and give a bill of Rs 1 lakh. It is very shameful that something like this has been reported.” On the professional front, apart from ‘Half Girlfriend’, Arjun Kapoor will also be seen alongside celebrity uncle Anil Kapoor in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Mubaraka’.
