Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been in love for quite some time, but coming out in the open about their relationship has never been the celeb couple’s thing. However, with celebrating Valentine’s Day, a day later Virat Kohli shared an adorable picture with his ladylove Anushka Sharma and captioned it, “Every day is a Valentine’s Day if you want it to be. You make every day seems like one for me.” The captain of the Indian cricket team ended the love-filled post with hearts. This much loved couple has been very supportive of each other and have made several hand-in-hand public appearances. But Virat and Anushka never confirmed their relationship status.

While Virat Kohli has confessed his love for Anushka Sharma now, a week ago, the celebrity couple made headlines when rumours suggested that the Indian cricket team captain was producing Anushka Sharma’s upcoming Hindi cinema ‘Phillauri’. The Bollywood actress, who is also a producer, gave out a detailed statement denying Virat’s involvement in her professional life.

Anushka Sharma’s official statement:

“‘Phillauri’ is produced by Fox Star Hindi and Clean Slate Films. So those TV channels/newspapers/websites claiming anything else, please check facts, practice responsible journalism and have some shame. By making such bogus claims and validating this rubbish by your so called ‘source’, not only are you disrespecting me and the hard work I have put in over the years to be where I am, but also, all the people who have worked on this film. Freedom of press comes with accountability and your fake sources are never accounted for. I have always led my career with dignity and often chose to maintain a dignified silence on many untruthful stories, that doesn’t mean you can take my silence as my weakness and say anything without checking with me or my team!
For someone who makes a living out of maligning people, it must definitely be hard to believe that a person can stand on their own feet and do something meaningful with their life. And next time these same people come wanting to talk about ‘women empowerment’ and ‘women in films today’ do remember this is what you do to ‘women in films’ who are trying to change the narrative and take charge of their own careers.
This must be just another story for you but it’s someone’s life you are toying with. I am more than capable of producing and promoting my own films.”
