Sridevi’s untimely death in Dubai shocked the nation. The actresses’ mortal remains are being flown back to Mumbai in a chartered plane. The 54-year-old ‘Chandni’ star suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the bathroom of Emirates Towers and was rushed to the Rashid Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. After post mortem, Sridevi’s mortal remains were handed over to the family. Sridevi’s funeral will be held at the Pawan Hans crematorium today. Newly-married Mohit Marwah, Akshay Marwah, Rhea Kapoor’s boyfriend and Karan Boolani were at the crematorium to discuss the funeral formalities.
Meanwhile, celebs and cinema stars like Rekha, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra arrived at Anil Kapoor’s residence to offer their condolences and be with Sridevi’s bereaved family. Anil and Sonam Kapoor had flown off to Punjab to shoot for their film ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’, but returned to Mumbai in the wake of the unfortunate incident of Sridevi’s death on Saturday night. Stepson Arjun Kapoor too returned from Amritsar where he was working on ‘Namastey England’.
