Sridevi has comfortably returned to Bollywood with motherly roles. After a hit like ‘English Vinglish’, Sridevi will play the lead role in ‘Mom’. Along with ‘Mom’s’ release, the celebrity actress will complete 50 years in the cinema industry and she still feels like a debutante! Sridevi expresses, “I feel like a newcomer and that ‘Mom’ is my first movie. There is indeed a long way to go.” The 53-year-old actress will play a powerful role in ‘Mom’ which is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor. Speaking about the preparations for the movie, Sridevi adds, “I am totally a director’s actor and surrendered to my director. I trusted him and followed his vision.” ‘Mom’ will release on July 7, 2017.

While Sridevi has begun with the promotions of her upcoming movie ‘Mom’, the celeb mother remains mum about daughter Jhanvi Kapoor’s Bollywood debut. When asked about Jhanvi’s entry in films, Sridevi retorts, “Let’s talk about Jhanvi’s mom now, we will talk about her debut later.” Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi’s debut is one much speculated story of Bollywood. The latest update was that Jhanvi will grace the silver screen alongside alleged boyfriend Ishaan Khatter in Karan Johar-produced, Hindi remake of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’.
