Shahid Kapoor had a tough time getting into the character of Maharawal Ratan Singh for ‘Padmavati’, moustache being the toughest part of his preparations. “It took me four months to grow that beard and moustache. Initially I thought it would be done in a month’s time but growing such a moustache is not easy at all. I had to groom and manage it all the time. I discovered that men’s grooming is a big area,” shares Shahid. However, Shahid Kapoor’s physical transformation was not the only tough part. The actor took a good two hours to get into the heavy garbs and makeup to play the royal Maharawal Ratan Singh.
