Release date of ‘Padmavati’ has still not been announced and the film’s lead actor Shahid Kapoor is not too happy with the long delay. “The wait is killing me; I am dying for the film to come out. By the end of the year, we will have clarity about the release date of ‘Padmavati’ as we want to showcase the film as soon as possible,” says Shahid, getting impatient. The year 2017 started with a dud, ‘Rangoon’, for Shahid Kapoor and his year-end film ‘Padmavati’ failed to release. “When I look back, I feel it has been one of the most exciting years in my career. There has been a lot of controversy around ‘Padmavati’ but then it is such a special film,” he adds. And while he awaits the release of ‘Padmavati’, Shahid will soon begin shooting for his next, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.
