Shahid Kapoor is off daddy duty and has started working hard on the sets of his next biggie, ‘Kabir Singh’. The film is an official remake of the Telugu drama ‘Arjun Reddy’. Pictures doing the rounds from the film’s shoot showcase the actor sporting a heavy beard, similar to what Vijay Deverakonda had sported in the original film. The shoot of ‘Kabir Singh’ was apparently delayed as director Sandeep Vanga wanted Shahid to grow a dense beard. The team of the Hindi flick began shooting in October at a Mumbai studio. Shahid has not just changed his facial appearance but has also worked on a chiselled frame for the movie. In ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid plays a man with anger management issues who follows his journey to rehabilitation.

Shahid Kapoor will romance Kiara Advani in ‘Kabir Singh’. Sandeep Vanga, who was also the director of the Telugu version, will mark his Bollywood directorial debut with this project, which is scheduled to hit the screens on June 21, 2019. The film, which is a T-Series and Cine1 Studios production, has been a topic of discussion ever since it was announced. The story of the film revolves around a medical student and his junior and how love blossoms between the two. ‘Kabir Singh’ will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi and Musoorie. Shahid will sport four different looks in the film and has been preparing for it over the last four months.
