Celebs like Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma are ruling the talk shows on the small screen. It seems like Shah Rukh Khan too may plunge into having one of his own on TV. If buzz is to be believed then Shah Rukh Khan is in talks with a popular TV channel to work out the nitty-gritties of the talk show which he will host. While the name for the television show has not been decided as yet, the format reportedly will be that of an international TV show adapted to Indian sensibilities. The programme may go on air in mid-2017.
Shah Rukh Khan started his career in the entertainment industry with a TV show ‘Fauji’ (1988) and later went on to do many more, out of which ‘Circus’ was another hit circa 1990. But in the recent past, after becoming the superstar in Hindi cinema, celebrity SRK has not had a very successful stint on the small screen. In 2007, he hosted a game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, whereas in 2008 SRK played a host in ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’. The actor was also a part of ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout’ in 2011, which was adapted from the international game show ‘Wipeout’s’ format. Hence Shah Rukh Khan now dabbling in TV again, that too as a talk show host, is definitely going to be very interesting.
