Salman Khan makes a dazzling appearance at award ceremonies and has won a long list of awards too. However, the actor now wants to give a chance to the younger generation of celebs and wants to stay away from glittering award functions, “One should delete me from the competition. My name should not be included in the nominations because it is unfair for the other person. We have been here for such a long time, so we should give the younger generation a chance. I can perform and attend at these functions but I think the younger generation should get a chance to win the awards now.” Not just awards, Sallu is also heart-winning person as he stood 2nd as the Most Googled Indian of 2015.

The large hearted actor had a blockbuster hit in the form of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ last year. Salman states that it is difficult to match that level,

“I felt that a better film than ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ should have released but it did not happen. It is good for me, as I would work harder and it is good for the industry as well as the industry would also prosper.”

His second release in 2015 was Sooraj Barjatya directed ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which worked wonders at the box office but could not surpass Pocket Hercules’ earlier Bollywood flick. “I had hoped that ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ would do better than ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Sooraj had worked really hard and it was a beautiful film about a brother and a sister. I think it was a very good thought,” says Sallu, who is called by this nickname in his inner circle.

Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan are again pairing up together as the director is working on yet another family cinema. Salman too is keen to work again with his ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ (1989) director. The actor-producer says, “He is like a brother to me. Today whatever I am is because of Sooraj Barjatya. As long as he wants to work with me, I will always be there,” leaving his celebrity status aside.

Salman is currently shooting for his wrestler film ‘Sultan’. The actor, who has beefed up a lot for this role, had confessed that it was one of the toughest films of his career. Aamir Khan had recently stated that he is eager to watch Salman’s ‘Sultan’, reacting to the same, Salman says,

“I am more excited for ‘Dangal’.”

While ‘Sultan’ and ‘Dangal’ are based on a similar concept, that of wrestling, they release on different dates and have different storylines.
