Salman Khan will finally reprise his popular cop avatar for the third part of ‘Dabangg’ franchise. The actor had earlier confirmed that Prabhu Dheva will be directing ‘Dabangg 3’ and the discussions about the project are still on in full swing. Salman will begin shooting for ‘Dabangg 3’ early next year, having wrapped up all the promotions for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which releases on December 22. The first trailer of this action-packed thriller was released yesterday and opened to a huge positive response from fans. December will be Salman’s busy month, with the promotions of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and his reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 11’.

Salman has also signed up for ‘Race 3’ franchise but there has been no update on the film’s schedule, and hence he might give priority to ‘Dabangg 3’ over the former. In the meantime, Sallu will also start work on brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s ‘Bharat’, which is inspired from a Korean film.

As for the female lead for ‘Dabangg 3’, Sonakshi Sinha, who debuted with ‘Dabangg’ in 2010 and was also in ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012), has confirmed to play Rajjo in the third instalment as well.
