Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Simmba’ has generated a lot of curiosity, with the ‘colourful’ actor gracing the screen in the garbs of a quirky policeman. With Rohit Shetty calling the shots, buzz suggests that this story of a uniformed officer could well be turned into a franchise with several sequels in the offing. Director Rohit Shetty has to his credit two super successful film series – ‘Singham’ and ‘Golmaal’, and ‘Simmba’ could well be added to the list. Interestingly, the cast and popular characters of ‘Singham’ and ‘Golmaal’ have shot for a special appearance for ‘Simmba’ with Ranveer Singh. The film is due to hit the screens in December this year.

In July this year, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty began shooting for the first schedule of ‘Simmba’ in Hyderabad. The Bollywood flick is based on the Telugu film ‘Temper’. ‘Simmba’ stars aspiring actress and Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan opposite Ranveer. Since the shooting of the film is complete, Ranveer can spare time for his marriage to Deepika Padukone, which is on November 14 and 15 in Italy. In all probability, ‘Simmba’ will be his first film to release after the wedding. In his other Bollywood films, Ranveer has completed shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ and will soon be seen in Kabir Khan’ sports drama ‘83’, apart from ‘Simmba’.
