Ranbir Kapoor’s Eid 2018 surprise to Salman with Dutt biopic
Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanjay Dutt biopic might release during Eid 2018, surprising Salman Khan, who is known to book the dates for the festive season much in advance
Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanjay Dutt biopic was postponed to June 2018 and if buzz is to be believed then the makers are eyeing to block Eid as the release date of the real life story. The festive date of Eid is considered to be a long earning weekend at the Box Office and the much anticipated Dutt biopic may bag the advantage. Rumours were rife that Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’ may hit the screens on Eid 2018 but the actor is yet to begin work on the film. Salman, who is known to book Eid dates in advance to release his films, may want to skip this one after his last Eid release, ‘Tubelight’, fused out at the Box Office. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is one of the most awaited films of 2018.
While he springs up a surprise for Salman Khan during Eid 2018, Ranbir Kapoor has been in and out of different looks in order to perfectly portray the various years of Sanjay Dutt’s life onscreen for the biopic. They actor even grew his hair long and put on weight to get into the skin of the character. Keeping the film as close as possible to the reality, Rajkumar Hirani shot for the biopic in Sanjay Dutt’s house as well! The Bollywood film features Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala as Dutt’s parents – Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, while Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma too have important roles to play.
