Southern superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘2.0’ has been postponed yet again. The film has been in the making since as long as two years, from 2016, and the makers are now looking for a release in 2019! This means that ‘2.0’ will be in the making for three long years, something which is unheard of in today’s day and age! ‘2.0’ was to initially hit the screens during Diwali 2017, from which the release was deferred to April 2018. A lot of VFX work is still pending and the team of ‘2.0’ is not in a position to deliver the film this year. Hence the makers are scouting for a perfect release date in 2019. While Rajinikanth plays the protagonist, Akshay portrays a negative role. Apparently, due to so many postponements, the budget of ‘2.0’ has also increased manifolds and the co-producers are working out the details.
