Shah Rukh Khan enjoyed a big opening at the Box Office as his Bollywood film ‘Raees’ bagged Rs 20.42 crore, getting a lead over Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’. Rakesh Roshan produced ‘Kaabil’ made Rs 10.43 crore on the first day of its release. Both the Bollywood films recorded an escalation in business on Day 2, with ‘Raees’ making Rs 26.30 crore and ‘Kaabil’ collecting Rs 18.67 crore at the ticket windows. Hence as it stands today, ‘Raees’ has collected almost Rs 47 crore in two days, whereas ‘Kaabil’s Box Office collection is a little over Rs 29 crore in the same time. While ‘Kaabil’ witnessed a higher margin of growth, the Hrithik Roshan starrer film is still lagging behind in the number game. Apparently, ‘Raees’ bagged the lead in the race against ‘Kaabil’ as it recorded a massive advance booking in almost all territories. While ‘Kaabil’ has received several positive reviews from most critics, there have been polarised opinions about ‘Raees’. While some critics have termed the Bollywood film a must watch and a hit, many others have panned it badly. Hence it will be interesting to see which celeb and cinema star emerges victorious at the end of this long, extended, five-day weekend – Shah Rukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan!
