Radhika Apte has been roped in to play the important role of Akshay Kumar’s wife in R Balki directed ‘PadMan’. The Bollywood film ‘PadMan’ is yet another biopic in Hindi cinema based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented a machine that manufactures sanitary pads at a very low cost. Radhika Apte will start preparing for her role from this week and will begin shooting this month. Radhika is thrilled to play a supportive wife to Akki in ‘PadMan’. The film will be Twinkle Khanna’s maiden venture as a producer after going solo, and will also feature Sonam Kapoor in a parallel lead.
Besides ‘PadMan’, rumour mills are abuzz with talks that Radhika Apte may be roped in for yet another film opposite Akshay Kumar. A script is being worked upon but nothing has been confirmed as yet.
