Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s concert in India cancelled

Crooner from Pakistan, Atif Aslam was to hold a concert in India on October 15, which now stands cancelled due to worsening relations and situations between the two neighbouring countries

The terrorist attack in Uri, India, has caused an uproar in the entertainment industry back home. Following the call for a ban on Pakistani artistes performing in India, singer Atif Aslam’s concert in Gurgaon near Delhi, India has been cancelled. Reports state that Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Kranti Dal put forward a memorandum demanding cancellation of the show. Looking at the sensitive situation, the Gurgaon district administration advised the organisers to can the concert. Crooner Atif Aslam was scheduled to perform at Leisure Valley Ground in Sector 29 in Gurgaon on October 15. However, just before India’s surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Atif Aslam’s show is called off. The news says that the concert has been postponed indefinitely for now.
