Mubarakan grows; Indu Sarkar slumps at the Box Office

While ‘Mubarakan’ collects over Rs 22 crore in the first three days of its release, ‘Indu Sarkar’ manages to garner just about Rs 3.25 crore in the similar time at the Bollywood Box Office

‘Mubarakan’, starring Arjun Kapoor in a double role with uncle Anil Kapoor, recorded slow start at the Box Office, collecting Rs 5 crore on Friday. However, the comedy Bollywood film picked up pace over the weekend, growing well with Rs 7.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday under its belt. This has made the film collect over Rs 22 crore in three days. ‘Mubarakan’ was made on a budget of over Rs 50 crore and released on 2,350 screens in India. Hence it may have to perform exceptionally well to recover a good profits in the coming days. On the other hand, Madhur Bhandarkar’s political saga, ‘Indu Sarkar’, too released last Friday, but performed poorly, making just Rs 3.25 crore at the end of three days at the Box Office.
