Karan Johar can finally heave a sigh of relief as ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has been given police protection at theatres. Some political outfits in Maharashtra had protested against the film’s release and subsequent screening at the cinema halls, owing to the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. However, the Mumbai police will now provide adequate protection to theatres for its smooth passage, wherever the film will be released. Talking about shielding the cinema halls, DCP (Operation) Ashok Dudhe says, “We will provide adequate protection to cinema theatres as and when. To maintain law and order, we will provide protection to every cinema theatre in the city if needed.” Celebs and cinema world’s Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma starrer love story, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, will hit the screens this Diwali, on October 28.
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is not just facing threats for release, but will also have to fight it out at the Bollywood Box Office with Ajay Devgn starrer-directed ‘Shivaay’. ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’ are releasing on the same day.
