Karan Johar maintained a stoic silence on the controversy with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s presence in his upcoming release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ till now. The celeb and cinema maker finally broke the silence and stated, “For me, my country comes first, nothing else matters to me. When I shot ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in September to December last year, the climate was completely different. Efforts were made by our government for peaceful relationship with Pakistan.” Karan goes on to add that he would not work with any Pakistani actors in future, “Going forward, I would like to say that I will not engage with talent from the neighbouring country, given the circumstances.” Karan Johar also urged those agitating that it would be unfair if ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ faced protests, as over 300 Indians have worked for the film.
